UK free software conference

The UK's Assocation For Free Software Annual Conference (AFFSAC) will be in Birmingham on 17 May 2003.

This is the first AFFSAC and is all happening at a bit short notice for various unavoidable reasons. It's a free all-ticket all-member event, but once all members who want them have tickets, the remaining ones will be issued to people who have said they will join, so it's effectively a tenner.

Because of the short notice, the talks schedule is not yet available, but I hope to have talks on multimedia, education, activism, ISPs and IPng. They've been offered, but we still need to confirm them and slot them into the schedule for the day. We're still interested to hear from more people who want to give talks, by a short summary emailed to frontdesk with an estimate of the time needed.

Feel free to ask any questions here and I'll try to answer them. Point out goofs by email, please, to spare my blushes ;-)

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
