Having found Linux several years ago courtesy of RedHat 4.1 on the cover of PC World magasine here in the UK, I was slowly converted as I found more and more applications that I could move from Windows to Linux. Now I barely boot into windows at home. My Distro of choice is Debian now.
Unfortunately my day job is still MSSQL/ASP bassed and there is no real chance of changing that without a great deal of funding.
I Currently run the West Wales Linux User Group which is growing at a rate of knots.
I am not a C coder, but would like to learn in my spare time. I have 3 years of Java under my belt and tinker with php and perl when I get the chance.

Just an initial Diary entry, trying to get my head round some quirks of the certification scheme. I spent an hour yesterday trawling through the member list pulling out anyone I knew, or whos work I knew of. My apologies if I missed you, I was trying my best.

So why is it that I havent apparently been certified at all, yet I know for a fact that at least 2 people have certified me in the last 24 hours.

Looks like I have a lot to learn yet :)

UPDATE Well looks like I was not able to cert myself as an Observer, so I have upgraded to Apprentice. I'll leave it up to the rest of you to decide whether I am worthy of it.
