The ASCII Markup Language (AML) language is an alternative for XML syntax. The idea is to be able to create XML documents more easily with just a text editor.
There are tools for translating XML to AML, and back.
There is an online version of these tools here.

This project has the following developers:

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
