Freshmeat page:

GNUMP3d is a small, stable, secure, and portable MP3 and OGG Vorbis streaming server written entirely in Perl.

It runs under any recent Perl environment such as that supplied by GNU/Linux, Solaris, FreeBSD, and Microsoft Windows.

The server provides an attractive themeable interface to a large MP3/OGG collection.

Displays are built in real time, and the browser interface allows you to search for music, play tracks, or stream whole albums.

For the past few releases it's been possible to make use of its plugin API to extend the server in new and interesting ways.
