LANANA, the Linux Assigned Names and Numbers Authority, is intended to be to Linux what IANA is to there Internet: a central registry of names and numbers within the Linux project. Currently the LANANA project includes the Linux Device List; hopefully additional subprojects will be started soon.

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
