Development environment for writing, executing and debugging MIXAL programs. MIXAL is the assembly language of the MIX virtual computer (created by Don Knuth in his book series "The Art of Computer Programming"), which is a simplified version of real CISC architectures. It's great for learning the basics of computer architecture and assembly programming. You can learn MIX/MIXAL using MDK's documentation. An, if you happen to be studying TAOCP, the simulator will come in very handy.
