PMS is an MUA written in Python. There UI is pluggable -- currently, an MH-like (small commands), shell like and a raw Python interpreter are supported. The backend is pluggable too, with support for MH folders, MailDir folders, POP3 folders and PMEP. PMEP is ``IMAP done right'': it is a simple protocol for remote mailbox management. There is a PMEP server (with a simplistic authentication mechanism) in the PMS source distribution. The PMEP server can only serve out of MH folders right now.
