The QuakeForge project is an attempt to maintain and revitalize the source code to the original game of Quake and its sibling, QuakeWorld. Prime focuses of the project are portability and compatibility with the original Id Software game, however other issues such as cheat prevention and new features are always on the minds of its developers.

The project runs on more than a dozen operating systems using both the software and OpenGL renderers. While we are improving some portions of the software renderer, the visual improvements are going to be best appreciated with hardware accellerated OpenGL and may rival features in some of the latest games on the market.

QuakeForge is working in collaboration with other source projects and QSG to ensure compatibility among source projects.

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
