Notes: CookPro

This is for all you geek cooks out there. I'm developing a perl program that will take in a recipe, parse out the ingrediants, tally them up, and produce a shopping list based on what recipes are selected. For example, say you want to shop for the upcoming week. Cook for 5 days (assuming there will be leftovers). 5 recipes chosen at random out of 30 recipes total, lists what's to be cooked for each day, approximate time for completion, possibly query the web for expected ingrediant cost, and produce a 'shopping- list' in a variety of formats, HTML, txt, viewable for PDA, etc. No GUI yet, probably use Tk when I get around to it. Not sure what platform to focus on. I'll plan for cross-platform and make it as unbiased as I can. This is going to be great!

Next project is going to be a replicator. -binaryfoo out

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
