the dcserver (data connect server) was originally intended to be a home gateway/controller for x10 or other powerline interface home devices.

it's now going to be an open source osgi implementation (osgi is a spec for home gateway servers to handle delivery/metering/etc of broadband etc services), and a platform for developing and deploying communication and EAI-style integration apps.

it's getting some nice additions built in - like a certification authority and general cipher utility for encryption/decryption/digital signatures.

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
