gNiall attempts to learn whatever language you try to teach it by collecting statistics on the sentences you type and remembering the connections between words; then it tries to construct meaningful replies. The original Niall, by a guy called Matthew Peck, was an Amiga program which I liked, so I rewrote it for the GNOME desktop environment.
New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
