lq-text is a text retrieval package. It makes an inverted index of your files, and can then later find words or phrases in those files.

The current developer release is 1.16 (2000-03-05)

lq-text was first released in 1989 and posted to comp.source.unix.

Right now, there is no configure script, but a Red Hat port is being tested, a Debian package is started, and there are binaries for FreeBSD.

License: barefoot (free for NC use)
